Every year we have been supplying a larger number of chemical stores, since attending the last 2 Cereals events and the Agri-Expo. We shall be investing further in meeting the needs of the agricultural community. As a result we are proud to announce that we will be exhibiting at the LAMMA 2018, the leading UK farming equipment and services show in Peterborough in January 2018.
The annual LAMMA event is one of the biggest in the agricultural calendar, with over 40,000 farmers over the 2 days and 850 exhibitors. A large proportion of the people who attend LAMMA are farm owners and managers. Exhibiting at the event gives us a valuable opportunity to meet our existing customers and new farmers alike, and gain a better understanding of how we can serve this vital sector.
Our time at Cereals 2016 & 2017 was a great success. We were able to build on our knowledge of the issues that matter most to arable farmers. As we have mentioned in previous posts, one of the biggest issues facing today’s farmers is the need to store chemicals and plant protection products safely.
Our chemical stores are converted shipping containers and match the specification dictated by the UK HSE. Farmers are increasingly under pressure, not just from government departments, but are also being encouraged to change the way they store and handle chemicals and pesticides by the companies they supply. For example, the Tesco ‘Natures Choice’ & the Red Tractor schemes imposes very specific guidelines for farmers. Our chemical stores are a cost effective, long term solution to the increasing problem of safe and secure chemical storage.
In addition to our chemical stores we (as Billie Box Ltd.) also offer new containers for farmers who wish to diversify into self storage.
